INTRODUCTION
Our lactase product is an enzyme produced by Aspergillus oryzae strain. Lactase (also known as lactase-phlorizin hydrolase), a part of the β-galactosidase family of enzymes, is a glycoside hydrolase involved in the hydrolysis of the disaccharide lactose into constituent galactose and glucose monomers.
Lactase is essential to the complete digestion of whole milk; it breaks down lactose. Lacking lactase, a person consuming dairy products may experience the symptoms of lactose intolerance. Lactase can be added to milk to produce "lactose-free" milk products to make it suitable for people with lactose intolerance

Enzyme activity definition: one lactase unit is defined as that quantity of enzyme that will liberate o-nitrophenol at a rate of 1µmol per minute under the condition of hydrolyze oNPG at 37 and pH4.5.
USE DIRECTIONS
- When people consumed dairy products or lactose-containing food,because lack of lactase in the body,the lactose is digested and fermented by intestinal bacteria and forms a mass of carbon dioxide gas.It can lead the expansion of intestinal tract and the strengthening of intestinal peristalsis .It bring borborygmus,diarrhea,abdominal distension and so on.It is called lactose intolerance.
- Lactase from Aspergillus oryzae has a high activity at low pH (pH 3.5 5.5) making it particularly suitable to digest lactose in the stomach. and is therefore ideal for use in dietary supplements as a digestive aid.
The dose of fungal lactase is dependent of the amount of lactose and the size of the meal consumed, A general guideline is 2,500 U per 10 13 grams of lactose consumed. We recommend a dose of 40006000 U with each lactose-containing
meal. For very sensitive lactose-intolerant consumers (needing a 100% conversion) 10,000 U per meal is recommended.
